Are Slovenian companies ready to digitize their businesses

Abstract

Projects of business renovation (digitalization) mainly focus on the renovation and computerization of business processes from the perspective of the possibilities of information technology. They are focused on issues and the aims of raising efficiency, but neglect due to the absence of prior consideration of the strategic level the issues and goals that are related to the organization's performance (effectiveness). The purpose of the paper is to present a digital transformation and to point out the possible ways of its implementation. This is a strategic approach to the transformation of the business doctrine and to the consequent renewal of operations. In the conclusion, we try to assess the readiness and willingness of the existing Slovenian companies for digital transformation.
