During the Covid-19 epidemic, students around the world were faced with periods of isolation from their professors, assistants and fellow students as pedagogical activities took place remotely through online classrooms, virtual labs and teleconferencing platforms. In one of the courses at FRI, we attempted to evaluate the effectiveness of laboratory work in the form of distance learning. For a section of the course contents, the students were divided into two groups. One of the groups had classic frontal teaching while the other studied remotely by means of electronic instructions. The effectiveness of learning was measured by the number of points that the students received for one of the exam questions related to the chosen contents. No statistically significant differences in knowledge were determined, which means that distance learning can be successfully included in the pedagogical process even when not required by the government.
