Co-workers discussion at the Islovar 20-th anniversary

Abstract

The article presents an invaluable chronological record of the origin and development of Islovar. The discussion presents the starting points that led to the establishment of an interactive dictionary in the field of computer science and informatics 20 years ago. The problems with terminology encountered by the designers of this important online tool are described. The development of the dictionary essentially followed the implementation of computer science and informatics in Slovenia while at the same time experiencing technological changes. From its first humble attempts, Islovar has grown into a valuable tool.
