Abstract

Business intelligence systems must be flexible, based on reliable data while providing users with a premium user experience in data analysis. A user’s databases are often unrefined, which can be the result of inconsistent business processes, errors in data logging or fraud. Using Power BI and SQL Server, we have developed a solution that, based on Benford’s law, determines conflicting information and renders graphically pleasing presentations. Internal auditors are thus provided an excellent tool to help them analyze their operations and detect errors and fraud.
